2008 Black Cat Spring Social

SPECIAL GUEST: Gov. Elliott Spitzer of New York and friend.

Thanks to our gracious host, nicer-than-he-has-to-be Paul Meeks, for opening his house and courtyard to Black Cat Tours and friends.
L-R. Paul Meeks, our host. Gary and Lisa Dow, owners of The Tavern @ 120 East Bay Street, where liquor has been sold out of the same building for over 300 years.

Most of the time was spent consuming adult beverages in a classic Charleston courtyard. The people in the photo to the left include 3 authors, 5 tour guides, 1 former SLED forensic agent and 1 Methodist minister.

Mark R. Jones, author of Wicked Charleston arrived in a classic 1920s Zoot Suit.

Rebel Sinclair and Mark R. Jones of Black Cat Tours worked as the official host and hostess.
C.J.Ohlandt, a true Renaissance Man, demonstrated Medieval whipping skills with his homemade cat-o-nine-tails. His mesmerized students include: Rebel, Kelsey and Emily. Kelsey seemed particularly interested.

After several adult beverages, Lisa Dow reverts back to the 1960s flower girl era.

Trey and Traci Smith, owners of the Charleston Legend and Lore Ghost Theater, appear to mesmerized by whatever Dylan is saying - which is a new thing for Dylan.

Deanne Bright, innkeeper at The Governor's House Inn, tour guide (and former radio newscaster) won the grand prize: a complete autographed collection of Mark and Rebel's books.

Paul Meeks, our host, tended to hover close to the keg of beer most of the evening.
